Rewards
How do you get a reward?
First, submit your tip in one of 3 ways.
Your tip is assigned a random ID #. Do NOT lose this number.
​All tipsters are anonymous, which means we don't know your identity.
We run encryption on all of our software so no one can track you, whether you call, submit a computer form or text us in the P3 App on your phone.
Your tip is sent to Law Enforcement.
​Your tip is sanitzed one more time for any information that might expose your identity.

Your tip is then sent to the law enforcement agency which covers the area of the crime you are reporting.

Once the tip is investigated and an arrest is made, they will notify Crime Stoppers if your tip helped to solve the case.

Reward voting
The Crime Stoppers Board meets once per month to discuss case updates and vote on rewards.
​
Based on a recommendation from Law Enforcement about the value of the tip, a reward amount will be assigned to each tip that led to an arrest and was approved by the board.​

Other factors that lead to rewards or different amounts:

If the tip led to an arrest

If it was the FIRST tip, all others will not be eligible.

If the tip had NEW information, not included in the first tip.

If your case has a reward it will then be updated in P3.
​
The maximum reward offered through Lincoln/Lancaster County Crime Stoppers is $1,000.
​
Rewards vary by tip and crime, but will pay between $50 and $1,000.

Check on the tip in your P3 app to see if a reward was issued for your tip.

​​​YOU MUST HAVE YOUR TIP ID # or have the tip in the P3 app to confirm. There is no way to recover your TIP ID # if you lose it!​​​
Collecting your reward
You will be given a password to go with your tip ID #.

You will then be given a secure bank location and go through the drive-thru.
Simply submit your tip number and password to the bank to get paid.

You remain unknown to us and anyone you leave a tip on!
